Euro Millions Numbers
Unlike many lottery draws from around the world, the Euro Millions numbers are quite unusual in that they are chosen from two separate ball pools. The Euromillions numbers drawn are made up of five balls from the main ball pool and another two lucky stars from the second ball pool. This unusual number formation means that you can often get winning Euro Millions numbers repeated both in the main balls and lucky stars when the winning Euro Millions numbers are drawn.
Of the main Euro Millions numbers, five are chosen at random as the winning numbers in each draw. These five main balls run from 1 to 50 inclusive and make up the first part of the Euro Millions Lottery draw.
But to win the jackpot you must also match the two lucky stars drawn after the main numbers. These lucky stars are chosen from a separate Euro Millions ball pool and run from 1 to 11 inclusive.
The two ball pools used in the Euro Millions Lottery draw mean that often you can select the same main Euro Millions numbers and lucky stars and often numbers are repeated in the winning main Euro Millions numbers and the lucky stars.
The two lots of Euro Millions numbers are what make the big rollovers. Two separate ball pools make the odds of winning the Euro Millions much longer than many lottery draws, with odds of winning the Euro Millions jackpot set at around 166 million to one.
