British Player Wins £11 Million EuroMillions Jackpot

A single British player won Friday’s £11 million (€15 million) EuroMillions jackpot, becoming the eighth top prize winner in the country so far this year. Their success accompanies that of the £35 million jackpot winner from September’s Mega Friday draw, who has stepped forward to claim their prize.

The winning numbers for Friday 2nd October are 7, 18, 21, 32 and 35 with Lucky Stars 2 and 11. An incredible 14 players matched five main numbers and one Lucky Star, winning £79,097 (€104,310) each in the process, while another 14 participants pocketed £26,365 (€34,770) each when they matched five main numbers. More than 2.4 million other players grabbed great prizes worth between £2.80 (€3.70) for matching two main numbers and £3,237 (€4,270) for matching four main numbers and both Lucky Stars. A full prize breakdown is available at the EuroMillions Results page.

While the UK had the largest prize pool, with £14.3 million shared between 598,390 participants, France had the largest number of winners in Friday’s game as 613,873 participants split €4.3 million. Spain came in third place with 458,837 ticket holders snagging a combined €3.1 million, while Ireland was in last place of all the participating countries, sharing just €297,209 between 44,459 players.

The UK is closing in fast on Portugal in terms of jackpot winners, with 54 to their 57. If you think you can close the gap on Tuesday evening, make sure to buy EuroMillions tickets online or from authorised retailers in time for the draw. Good luck and have fun!
