Euro Millions double rollover lands in Spain
There was a Euro Millions double rollover up for grabs on Friday night, and unlike previous draws, ticket sales did not meet expectations. Slightly lower ticket sales than usual meant that the jackpot was £38.3 million, but there was still a winner, and the Euro Millions double rollover lands in Spain this time.
The whole country was excited about the Euro Millions draw, and we were predicting a higher than estimate jackpot. However, it didn’t quite materialise on the evening, coming in slightly short.
We’re sure the winner won’t mind too much though, especially as they scooped the entire jackpot on one single lottery ticket. Euro Millions sales are always brisk in Spain and several big Euro Lottery jackpots have ended up there, so we’re not awfully surprised and would just like to congratulate the lucky winner!
This weekend, the Euro Millions jackpot is back to a more modest £13 million, but as the lottery is tax-free, that’s still a very tidy jackpot.
It’s also getting very close to the brand new Tuesday Euro Millions draw too, and several rules changes are coming into play at the same time. Lottery tickets for the new draw go on sale on May 7th and the Tuesday draw kicks off with a Superdraw, so there’ll be €100 million up for grabs, that should certainly get ticket sales up!
If you haven’t yet checked Friday’s winning numbers, then do so now, there really were millions in prizes handed out in the draw and even if you weren’t the jackpot winner, there’s plenty up for grabs!
