Euro Millions Jackpot Shared by Two
When the Euro Millions rules were changed, officials stated that this would mean more rollovers, and less shared jackpots. Well the rollovers bit has certainly come true, jackpot winners have been thin on the ground of late, but the jackpots have been massive. However the Euro Millions jackpot was shared by two last Friday, each matching the same five main numbers and two lucky stars.
The lucky lottery players, who will share the €15 million jackpot were from Portugal and Belgium. Portugal is already noted as one of the luckiest Euro Millions countries and that certainly rung true on Friday evening.
If you didn’t win the jackpot then never fear as over 3 million players won at prizes ranging from the jackpot share down to €3 on Friday evening, so there were very many winners. Eleven lottery players matched the second tier prize by matching five main balls and one lucky star and they collect almost €120,000. Another ten players matched just the five main balls to collect around €50,000.
So that’s it for the weekend Euro Millions news, but as always it’s not long until the next big lottery draw. Tomorrow is Tuesday and that of course means it’s time for the midweek Euro Millions draw. After the weekend’s winners, Tuesday’s jackpot is an estimated €15 million and you can buy Euro Millions tickets now for the draw from any of the many terminals around Europe, or online in just a couple of clicks.
The Tuesday Euromillions draw takes place in Paris at around 8.45pm but the draw is not televised so make sure you head back after the draw to check the Euro Millions results and winning numbers.
