Euro Millions goes twice weekly
Since the Euro Millions Lottery launched in 2004, there haven’t been too many changes to the style and format of the lottery. In fact the biggest change only involved British, Portuguese and Irish Lottery players as each country launched a secondary draw. This means that the format of the main Euro Millions draw has never changed but now the Euro Millions goes twice weekly and that’s just one change for the lottery.
From Saturday 7th May, if you buy a Euro Millions ticket, in any of the nine European countries where the lottery is played then you will have extra lucky stars to choose from. You’ll still choose five main balls and two lucky stars but the lucky star pool is to grow several more numbers.
You’d think that this would decrease your chances of winning, but in fact, Euro Millions Lottery players will now have more chances to win, as a new prize tier is introduced. This thirteenth prize tier will pay Euro Millions players £3 for matching two main numbers in the draw, making your overall odds of winning a prize just 1 in 13!
These changes to the Euro Millions Lottery coincides with the biggest change of all, a brand new Tuesday draw for the Euro Millions taking the lottery to twice-weekly status. This, and the changes to the lucky stars will surely mean even more big lottery jackpots across Europe, with more draws and even more chances to win a prize!
