Euro Millions winner would be richer than Beckhams
On Friday, all of us were on tenterhooks waiting for the £166 million Euro Millions Lottery draw but it’s another rollover! Several players became millionaires, matching the second tier prize but this Tuesday’s Euro Millions jackpot is now £166 million again as the jackpot has been capped. However, even without an increase in the prize funds the Euro Millions winner would be richer than the Beckhams should they take home this jackpot!
The Times Rich List put Victoria and David Beckham’s fortune at £165 million, which means if a single lottery player scoops this jackpot they’ll scoop a massive £166 million!
It’s the biggest lottery jackpot in the history of the Euro Millions and the most rollovers the lottery has ever seen. Players are going wild chasing the jackpot with a reported 900 Euromillions tickets sold every second in the run-up to the last draw!
The biggest ever UK Euro Millions winner scooped £113 million on the Euro Millions last October, so this could be a new record for the country. Although players from all nine participating countries will also be eagerly chasing the jackpot, buying lottery tickets in their droves no doubt.
The draw takes place tomorrow, and with demand likely to be high, we recommend you check your tickets as soon as possible before the draw.
