EuroMillions at Mega Jackpot Levels
The EuroMillions jackpot has grown to Mega Jackpot levels after no player matched the seven numbers required to win it in the previous draw on Tuesday 30 August. The jackpot, which has now rolled over nine times in a row, will be worth an estimated £100 million (around €114 million) in the draw on Friday 2 September. That’s higher than players would normally get to play for in special Mega Jackpot games, which tend to offer a top prize fund of €100 million, and to say that players are getting excited would be a gross understatement!
For those of you who haven’t yet checked your entries for the previous draw on Tuesday 30 August we can tell you that the main EuroMillions results were 02, 08, 10, 19 and 46, whilst the Lucky Star numbers were 05 and 09. There were four second-tier prize winners who matched the five main numbers and one Lucky Star number to win €354,815 (£242,189) each. Another eight tickets won a third-tier prize of €59,136 (£40,365) by matching five main numbers only.
There were more than 2.4 million winning tickets in the EuroMillions game last Tuesday, which demonstrates once again that everyone who buys a ticket has a surprisingly good chance of winning a consolation prize even if the jackpot proves to be elusive. The chance - in numerical terms – of any ticket winning any prize is around 1 in 13, and obviously if you buy more than one ticket for any given draw your chances get even better.
With £100 million to be won in the EuroMillions game tonight we think that quite a few players will be buying themselves more than one ticket, but even a single entry could win you the jackpot if luck is on your side. Whether you choose to play a selection of your favourite numbers or rely on the Lucky Dip feature to generate your entries randomly, play EuroMillions online so that you don’t risk losing a potential jackpot-winner and good luck!
