One Portuguese Ticket Wins EuroMillions Jackpot
All EuroMillions players were hoping that they would strike lucky in Friday’s special EuroMillions draw and win one of the many prizes on offer and the results show luck was definitely present. Friday’s draw saw not only one Portuguese ticket win the EuroMillions jackpot of just over £30/€35 million but a further 18 UK EuroMillions ticket holders won £1 million each all thanks to the Super Raffle that started on Friday. In addition to that over 3.5 million players won a prize in the main EuroMillions game.
The results from the draw were 14, 19, 26, 28, 34 and 5 and 8 were the two Lucky stars. Out of the numbers drawn the number 19 stands out and this is because it is one of the most often picked out EuroMillions numbers having appeared a total of 54 times. In addition to that the Lucky star number 5 made its 104th appearance on Friday night meaning that it is one of the highest drawn out stars.
In addition to the jackpot winner who was from Portugal there were 11 players who fell just short of winning the jackpot but managed to take home the second tier prize of £120,541/€179,533 by matching all five numbers and one Lucky Star. Also over 2,000 players took home £71.40/€106.40 by matching four numbers and over 1.7 million players walked away with the lowest prize available which was £2.70/€4.10.
The Super Raffle also took place on Friday night and this was the first draw of the special Millionaires Month. All 18 ticket holders became overnight millionaires all thanks to the Millionaires Raffle however if you missed out on winning a prize at the start of this special event then make a note of the 23rd December because a further 25 players will become millionaires!
The EuroMillions jackpot win on Friday means that the top prize resets and goes back to basics so it is estimated at £12/€15 million.
