September Superdraw

The next EuroMillions Superdraw will take place on Friday 18 September, 2009. That isn’t an official announcement, but the information we have comes from an extremely reliable source and so we strongly recommend that you mark the date on your calendar. The EuroMillions Superdraw jackpot is said to be worth €100,000,000, so it looks like it could be a similar Superdraw to the last one we had in March of this year.

The March 2009 Superdraw wasn’t actually referred to as a Superdraw, but as a EuroMillions MegaJackpot. The difference was subtle but definite: In a Superdraw game the jackpot was guaranteed to be paid out, so if no players matched all five main numbers and the two Lucky Star numbers, the jackpot would be rolled down to the next prize level that did have winners. The rules governing the MegaJackpot were slightly different, and allowed the jackpot to roll over to the next draw if it wasn’t won outright.

Two players obtained the EuroMillions results they needed to win the March 2009 MegaJackpot, so each winner won €50,000,000 and the rollover question didn’t arise. But whether the September Superdraw will actually be a Superdraw or a MegaJackpot as far as the rollover rule is concerned is something we will have to let you know nearer the time.

Until then, it makes sense to do everything that you can to prepare for the September EuroMillions Superdraw to improve your chances as winning as much as possible. Our two main bits of advice for you on that subject are as follows:

Buy Tickets Online – When you buy tickets online you make life very easy on yourself (no queues in the shops!) and you also ensure that your entry can’t be lost. If you win you’ll be sent an email, it’s as simple as that!

Join a Syndicate – If buying one ticket gives you one chance of winning the EuroMillions jackpot, playing in a syndicate with nine other members doing the same gives you a total of ten chances of winning. You would only a share of the jackpot prize if the syndicate got the perfect EuroMillions results, but 10% of €100 million still seems pretty good to us!

We’ll bring you more news about the September EuroMillions Superdraw closer to the time. Until then, don’t forget to buy tickets for the regular Friday EuroMillions draws – you could win yourself a dozen or two millions even before the Superdraw gets here!
