UK Celebrates Jackpot Win

The UK is celebrating after two tickets purchased in Britain correctly matched all of the EuroMillions numbers to win the jackpot, which was ultimately worth over €102 million (over £91 million)! The EuroMillions results that made each winning ticket-holder more than £45.5 million richer were 11, 19, 34, 43 and 45, and the two Lucky Star numbers were 5 and 9.

It is not know whether the winning tickets were bought by individual EuroMillions players or by syndicates, but if either ticket was purchased by an individual then the current record for the biggest individual winner in the UK will have been broken. Angela Kelly won £35.4 million playing EuroMillions in 2007, so a £45.5 million individual win would smash that record by more than £10 million!

Update: The identity of the holders of the two winning tickets has now been revealed. One of the tickets was bought by a Liverpool lottery syndicate of seven members, giving each member a personal fortune of £6.5 million. The second ticket was bought by Les Scadding of Wales, which means that Les has now broken Angela Kelly’s previous record.

More than three million EuroMillions prizes were won in total last Friday. Nine of those were worth €582,616 (approximately £518,976) and went to players who matched five main numbers and one of the Lucky Stars. Another 15 prizes were worth €99,202 (approximately £88,366) to those who matched the five main numbers but no Lucky Stars. The rest of the prizes went to players matching four or fewer main numbers, with or without Lucky Stars. You can see full details of what is required to win various prizes when playing EuroMillions on our EuroMillions Prizes page.

Although the multi-rollover €102 million jackpot draw took place on Friday 6 November, the owners of the two winning tickets didn’t come forward to claim their prizes for more than 24 hours. It could be that it took that length of time for them to check the EuroMillions results and realise that they had won. Or maybe they were simply too stunned by their success to take immediate action. We are hopeful that some further details about the two British winners will be released in due course, but whether those winners will opt for full publicity is not yet known.

We here at Euro-Millions.net would like to say well done to all of the most recent EuroMillions winners, and encourage everyone to have a go at the €15 million (approximately £13 million) jackpot that is now available this Friday 13 November. Buy tickets online and you too could be a jackpot winner!
