UK Player Lands EuroMillions Jackpot in September 2015 Mega Friday Draw

A single ticket holder from the UK matched all five main numbers and both Lucky Stars to land the phenomenal EuroMillions jackpot of £35.1 million on Friday 25th September. Another five UK players also picked up a cool £1 million each as part of Mega Friday, while over 2.7 million other participants across Europe won prizes.

There had been four consecutive rollovers prior to Friday’s draw and the jackpot stood at its highest amount since a UK player landed £93.3 million on 12th June. The numbers drawn were 13, 14, 23, 30 and 37 with Lucky Stars 2 and 8. As well as the jackpot winner, there were four players, including one from the UK, who matched five main numbers plus one Lucky Star to each pocket £295,347 (€388,048).

Another six ticket holders, five of them from Spain, matched five main balls to bag €86,233 each. There were prize winners galore across the remaining ten tiers, ranging from £2.90 (€3.80) for matching two main numbers up to £2,140 (€2,811) for matching four main numbers plus two Lucky Stars. Take a look at the EuroMillions Results section for a full breakdown of the draw.

In terms of money won, Spain came second out of all the participating countries as €3.4 million was split between 507,027 players, but the night belonged to the UK as 830,302 ticket holders grabbed a combined €39.3 million.

The UK’s success may have been driven by the lure of Mega Friday, which offered five lucky players the chance to win £1 million as well as a terrific non-cash prize, which this month was a VIP trip around the world. The winning Millionaire Maker codes were VKT413903, WKZ746626, WLD481829, WKV876230 and WLB361562, with each of those five lucky ticket holders now able to choose from three possible routes as they enjoy what promises to be the holiday of a lifetime. Mega Friday will be back on Friday 30th October, but you don’t have to wait that long for the chance to win a fortune. The next EuroMillions draw on Tuesday night will have a jackpot of £10 million (€15 million) up for grabs, and you can play online now or buy tickets from an authorised retailer in one of the participating countries. It has been a great few months for UK players, and it could just be that it is your turn to enjoy a major slice of good luck. Have fun!
