UK Ticket Scoops EuroMillions Jackpot

In Tuesday night’s EuroMillions draw many players were crossing their fingers and hoping that they would match the five plus two combination drawn to win the top prize on offer. Although this wasn’t the case for the majority of ticket holders one UK ticket matched the results from this draw to scoop the EuroMillions jackpot that came out at £45,160,171/€54,252,968. The holders of this ticket were a young couple from Stapleford, Nottinghamshire and they came forward to collect their winnings at a press conference held in the UK on the 9th February 2012.

This particular couple, who are both 22 bought their winning EuroMillions ticket online after previously purchasing both a EuroMillions ticket for Friday 3rd February and also a UK National Lottery for Saturday 4th February – so you could say this jackpot win was definitely third time lucky for them!

Both Cassey and Matt plan to leave their jobs – Cassey worked as a Supervisor at a supermarket and Matt a painter and decorator in the family business. They want to spend their EuroMillions winnings on building their own house, buying on Aston Martin and treating their family and friends to things such as houses and cars.

This EuroMillions jackpot win means that this couple are now as rich as the British actor Hugh Grant who, according to the Sunday Times Rich List, is thought to be worth £45 million.

This top prize win means that the EuroMillions jackpot goes back to basics for tonight’s draw and it is estimated at £12/€15 million. Therefore, if you fancy joining this couple on the winners list have your tickets ready and you might just end up matching the EuroMillions results!
